Martin Shows What Modern Public Lighting Should Look Like

The City of Martin has successfully completed a comprehensive modernisation of public lighting worth more than EUR 4 million. The project included the replacement of nearly 6,000 luminaires with modern LED technology, the renewal of 96 switchboards and the modernisation of the control infrastructure.

The solution includes an intelligent control system that automatically adjusts lighting intensity to current conditions and enables real-time monitoring of each lighting point. This makes it possible to manage energy consumption efficiently, quickly identify faults and optimise operation.

The project brings the city greater comfort and safety for residents, while also delivering significant energy savings. These savings allow the investment to be gradually repaid without placing an additional burden on the municipal budget.

It is a practical example of how modern technology can transform standard infrastructure into an efficient and long-term sustainable system.
